CGI Federal Wins $64M EPA Finance Modernization Contract with AI Automation
CGI Federal secured a US$64 million five-and-a-half-year IDIQ contract to expand its Momentum Enterprise Suite for the EPA’s Compass platform. The upgrade will deploy AI-driven automation on AWS to consolidate legacy systems, streamline resource planning and boost financial transparency.
1. IDIQ Contract Award
CGI Federal received a US$64 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract from the EPA’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer. The five-and-a-half-year agreement includes multiple task orders to expand the Compass platform under the Momentum Enterprise Suite.
2. Project Scope and Technology
Under the contract, CGI will integrate AI-driven automation, enterprise resource planning and system consolidation within the EPA’s AWS environment. The firm will enhance existing Momentum capabilities, add licensing, operations and maintenance, and retire outdated financial management systems.
3. Strategic and Financial Impact
This contract strengthens CGI’s footprint in federal technology services and adds to its backlog through FY2031. The modernization effort is expected to generate steady revenue, improve operational efficiency for the EPA and reinforce CGI’s position in AI-enabled government solutions.
