CGI Unveils Lisbon AI Center of Excellence for Agentic, Generative Solutions
CGI will launch an AI Center of Excellence in Lisbon in early May, integrating with its 2,000-strong Portugal operations to deliver Agentic and Generative AI solutions across Europe, including Finland, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. The hub will partner with Portuguese universities to cultivate AI talent and drive transformation.
1. CGI Launches AI Center of Excellence in Lisbon
CGI announced that its new AI Center of Excellence in Lisbon will become operational in early May, focusing on Agentic AI and Generative AI to accelerate client digital transformations.
2. Integration with Portugal Operations and European Coverage
The center will be integrated into CGI’s Portugal operations, which consist of over 2,000 local partners, and will support clients in Portugal as well as Finland, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
3. Academic Partnerships to Cultivate Talent
CGI is strengthening collaborations with Portuguese universities and higher education institutions to develop skilled AI professionals and foster research and innovation in emerging AI technologies.
4. Supporting Client Transformations Across Industries
From Lisbon, the center will deliver AI-enabled solutions ranging from banking software development and intelligent service-management agents to healthcare computer vision, decision-support models and utilities operational optimization.
