Charter Consolidates Internet, WiFi and Voice Under New SVP Dave Rodrian
Charter Communications promoted Dave Rodrian to Senior Vice President, Connectivity Products, consolidating its Internet, WiFi and Voice divisions into a single organization. Rodrian, who led the fastest growing WiFi 7 deployment and spearheaded rollout of DOCSIS 3.1 and 1 Gbps service, replaces Carl Leuschner upon his retirement.
1. Organizational Restructure and Leadership Transition
Charter Communications has merged its Internet, WiFi and Voice teams into a new Connectivity Products organization led by Dave Rodrian. The move coincides with the retirement of longtime executive Carl Leuschner after a 17-year tenure, signaling a shift toward unified product strategy.
2. Extensive Product and Innovation Expertise
Rodrian joined the company in 2009 and most recently oversaw deployment of Advanced WiFi routers including WiFi 6E, Speed Boost and the Spectrum Mobile Wireless Network data offload. Under his leadership, Charter became the fastest growing WiFi 7 provider and launched WiFi 7 extenders and Invincible WiFi, while earlier roles saw him roll out DOCSIS 3.1 and 1 Gbps Internet service.
3. Strategic Implications for Connectivity Offerings
By uniting Internet, WiFi and Voice under one senior executive, Charter aims to accelerate innovation and deliver integrated connectivity experiences. This consolidation could streamline product development cycles and enhance competitiveness in broadband and converged services.
