In Q4 2025 Charter’s Spectrum lost 119,000 internet customers following July rate hikes and intensifying fixed wireless competition. The company has introduced Invincible Wi-Fi, a WiFi 7 service with 5G backup and up to eight-hour battery support, aiming to reclaim subscribers during outages.

1. Q4 2025 Subscriber Losses

In its fourth-quarter 2025 results, Charter Communications reported a net loss of 119,000 Spectrum internet customers, driven partly by a $2 monthly rate increase on older plans implemented in July and by intensifying competition from 5G home internet and fiber providers.

2. Invincible Wi-Fi Product Launch

To counter churn, Spectrum unveiled Invincible Wi-Fi, the industry’s first WiFi 7 service equipped with 5G cellular backup and an eight-hour battery unit, allowing uninterrupted connectivity during power or network disruptions and targeting homeowners and small businesses in storm-prone areas.
