Cheniere Celebrates 10 Years, Eyes 60 mtpa Capacity by 2028 After $50 B Investment
Cheniere Energy marks the 10th anniversary of its first LNG export when the Asia Vision departed Sabine Pass on Feb. 24, 2016. It has shipped nearly 5,000 cargoes, invested over $50 billion in two Gulf Coast terminals now producing 50 mtpa and targeting 60 mtpa by 2028 and 75 mtpa by 2030.

Cheniere Energy commemorates a decade since loading its inaugural liquefied natural gas cargo on the Asia Vision at Sabine Pass on Feb. 24, 2016, marking the first commercial LNG export from the U.S. lower 48 states and launching its global export business.
2. Investment and Capacity Expansion
Over ten years, Cheniere has shipped almost 5,000 cargoes and committed more than $50 billion to develop Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi terminals. These facilities currently deliver a combined 50 mtpa, with projects underway to expand capacity to 60 mtpa by late 2028, approximately 75 mtpa by 2030 and potential for over 100 mtpa by the mid-2030s.
