Second-quarter profit rises on stronger LNG demand

Cheniere Energy reported a rise in second-quarter profit on Thursday, helped by increased demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The Houston, Texas-based company posted net income of $3.07 billion for the quarter ended June 30, compared with $1.63 billion in the previous year.
