Cheniere Energy will release its fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 financial results on February 26, 2026 before market open and host an investor conference call at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time the same day. A listen-only webcast and slide presentation will be available live and via replay on the company website.
1. Full Restart of Mozambique LNG Project
TotalEnergies and the Government of Mozambique have officially lifted the Force Majeure on the Mozambique LNG project, restarting both onshore and offshore construction at the Afungi site. Over 4,000 workers are now mobilized, including more than 3,000 Mozambican nationals. The project is currently 40% complete, with almost all engineering and procurement of main equipment executed during the suspension period. First LNG output is targeted for 2029.
2. Local Content and Economic Impact in Mozambique
The Mozambique LNG project will deliver significant local economic benefits through its ambitious local content plan. During the construction phase, up to 7,000 direct jobs will be created for Mozambican workers, and contracts awarded to domestic companies are expected to exceed USD 4 billion. The Mozambique LNG Foundation, endowed with USD 200 million since 2023, has already created over 8,000 jobs and supported 7,000 farmers and fishermen in Cabo Delgado province through infrastructure, training and micro-financing programs.
3. Global LNG Market Dynamics and 2026 Outlook
The restart of Mozambique LNG comes as global LNG trade continues to expand, reaching approximately 380 million tonnes in 2025, up 7% year-on-year. Major integrated energy companies such as Shell, Kinder Morgan and ExxonMobil are positioned to benefit from shifting trade flows, diversified offtake agreements and evolving spot-market pricing. Increased U.S. export capacity—currently 52 mtpa in operation with an additional 9 mtpa under construction—will further reshape global gas supply, applying downward pressure on European hub prices and stimulating new LNG-to-power projects in Asia.
4. Cheniere’s Q4 and Full-Year 2025 Results Announcement
Cheniere Energy has scheduled its fourth quarter and full-year 2025 earnings release for February 26, 2026, before U.S. market open, followed by a conference call at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Investors will look for updates on utilization rates at Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi liquefaction facilities, which together offer 52 mtpa of operating capacity, as well as progress on an additional 9 mtpa under construction. Market participants will also monitor forward guidance on capital expenditures for expansion projects and long-term LNG offtake contracts secured during 2025.
