Cheniere signs long-term agreements to supply QatarEnergy with LNG through 2054
CQP•Cheniere signed agreements to supply QatarEnergy with 4 million tonnes of LNG per year through 2054, with deliveries starting in the early 2030s.
1. LNG supply agreements
Cheniere entered into agreements for QatarEnergy to purchase 2 million tonnes per year from each of SPL and CCL on a free-on-board basis. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the early 2030s and continue through the end of 2054. Cheniere is developing an expansion of its existing SPL project with expected peak production capacity of up to about 20 million tonnes per year; estimated debottlenecking could increase total SPL production capacity to over 50 million tonnes per year.
