China vows to support small and midsize firms in employment, innovation
FXI•China releases five-year SME support plan
BEIJING, Sept 3 (Reuters) - China on Thursday released a five-year plan for small and medium-sized enterprises, pledging to support the firms in expanding employment and strengthening technological innovation capacity.
The plan, jointly issued by 10 central government agencies, urges local authorities to support SMEs in emerging sectors, enable SMEs to participate in major national science and technology programmes and use government funds to guide more capital into early-stage companies.
