ChipMOS Posts Record June Revenue; Q2 Sales Surge 28.7%
IMOS•ChipMOS reported NT$2,538.4 million (US$79.7 million) June revenue, up 37.2% year-on-year and 6.5% month-on-month, marking its highest monthly total since 2014. Second-quarter revenue reached NT$7,383.1 million (US$231.8 million), a 28.7% annual and 6.5% quarterly increase driven by persistent AI-related demand.
1. Record June and Q2 Revenues
ChipMOS achieved NT$2,538.4 million (US$79.7 million) in June revenue, up 37.2% year-on-year and 6.5% month-on-month, marking its highest monthly total since 2014. Second-quarter revenue totaled NT$7,383.1 million (US$231.8 million), a 28.7% annual and 6.5% quarterly increase, setting a new quarterly record.
2. AI Demand and Supply Dynamics
Persistent AI-related demand and ongoing supply tightness underpinned the revenue strength, as ChipMOS’s OSAT services became critical to meet surging customer requirements. The imbalance between AI chip demand and available capacity has driven robust growth in both assembly and test segments.
3. Capacity Expansion and Utilization
The company is investing in footprint expansion across Hsinchu Science Park and Southern Taiwan Science Park, adding new capacity to support long-term supply agreements. Recent facilities are operating at high utilization to fulfill existing customer forecasts amid structurally tight supply conditions.
