CMG•First Seoul location opens, with more planned
Seoul’s first restaurant opened at 423 Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu, with two more South Korea locations planned by end-2026.
The expansion plan also includes a first Singapore restaurant in 2027 under the partnership-led growth model.
Chipotle enters South Korea through joint venture
Chipotle formed a South Korea joint venture with Sangmidang Holdings to open and operate the brand’s first restaurants in Asia.
The partners will run the business through S&C Restaurants Holdings, targeting expansion across Asia with South Korea as the reference market.
