CIBC appointed Bill Morneau board chair effective Jan. 1, 2027. Katharine B. Stevenson will step down as chair on Dec. 31, 2026, after six years in the role. Morneau served as Canada's finance minister from 2015 to 2020 and led Morneau Shepell from 1990 to 2015.
