2. Operational Cost Cuts

In 2025, operating expenses dropped by approximately $10 million as R&D spending decreased to $9.4 million from $12.4 million and SG&A fell to $5.1 million from $6.8 million. These measures aim to extend the company’s financial runway and improve path to profitability.

3. Partnerships and Regulatory Advances

Cibus secured seven rice trait customers representing over $200 million in potential annual royalties and received its first sustainable ingredients payment. It also partnered with the UK government on farming innovation and leveraged new EU genomic techniques legislation to accelerate its gene-editing platform commercialization.
