Cigna Global Health Benefits signs exclusive endorsement deal with UnitedHealthcare Global
CI•Cigna Global Health Benefits signed an exclusive agreement for UnitedHealthcare Global to endorse it as its preferred international health insurer for clients. Financial terms were not disclosed.
1. Exclusive agreement
UnitedHealthcare Global will endorse Cigna Global Health Benefits as its preferred international health insurer for its clients. The move follows UnitedHealthcare Global’s decision to exit international private medical insurance across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
2. Coverage unchanged
Cigna said existing Global Health Benefits clients will see no change to coverage, provider access, account support or service arrangements. The agreement excludes UnitedHealthcare Global products, provider networks, service platforms and operating assets.
