Cintas, UniFirst agree to delay merger close until at least Dec. 11 under FTC timing pact
CTAS•Cintas and UniFirst agreed not to close their planned merger before Dec. 11, 2026, unless the FTC ends its review earlier. The deal is still expected to close before year-end 2026.

The companies certified substantial compliance with the FTC’s information request on Oct. 2, 2026. Their timing agreement bars closing before Dec. 11 unless the FTC ends its review earlier; both parties completed responses to a supplementary request from Canada’s Competition Bureau on Sept. 29.
