Circle finance chief Fox-Geen to step down
CRCL•Circle CFO Jeremy Fox-Geen plans to step down after more than five years in the role and will remain through the end of 2026 unless a successor is appointed sooner. Co-founder Sean Neville is also stepping down as a director, effective immediately.
1. CFO transition planned
Circle said CFO Jeremy Fox-Geen plans to step down after more than five years in the role. The company is working with an executive search firm to find his successor; Fox-Geen, who joined in May 2021, will stay through the end of 2026 to support the transition unless a successor is appointed sooner.
2. Board departure
Co-founder Sean Neville is stepping down as a director, effective immediately, for personal reasons. Circle said in a regulatory filing that his departure is part of an orderly board-refreshment process.
3. Company background
Fox-Geen helped guide Circle through its $1.2 billion initial public offering last year. Circle issues USDC, a dollar-pegged stablecoin with a market capitalization of about $75 billion.
