Cisco and Sharon AI Launch Secure AI Factory with 1024 NVIDIA GPUs
Cisco and Sharon AI have launched Australia’s first Cisco Secure AI Factory powered by 1024 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs, UCS servers and Nexus Hyperfabric technology to keep all data processing in-country. The infrastructure supports Australia’s National AI Plan by providing sovereign, high-performance AI capabilities across enterprise and government sectors.
1. Launch of Secure AI Factory
Cisco and Sharon AI have introduced Australia’s first Cisco Secure AI Factory in partnership with NVIDIA, delivering a fully sovereign AI infrastructure with all data processing hosted domestically. The facility is designed to accelerate enterprise and government AI projects under the framework of Australia’s National AI Plan.
2. Infrastructure Architecture
The Secure AI Factory is built on Cisco UCS servers, the Nexus Hyperfabric unified management plane and 1024 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs, complemented by VAST Data’s high-performance storage and NEXTDC’s resilient Australian data centers. This combination ensures high throughput, scalability and robust security for complex AI workloads.
3. Support for National AI Plan
By keeping data and AI processing within national borders, the initiative reinforces data sovereignty and responsible AI governance. Enterprises benefit from a sandbox environment for proof-of-concept testing and tailored solutions across industries, fostering innovation while maintaining compliance with local regulations.
4. Future Expansion Plans
Sharon AI plans to deploy additional AI clusters throughout 2026 and beyond, expanding capacity to meet growing demand across the Asia-Pacific region. Future collaboration aims to enhance performance and introduce new AI services to support advanced machine learning and high-performance computing applications.
