Cisco unveils new Silicon One, optics innovations at OCP Global Summit 2026
CSCO•Cisco detailed new silicon, systems and optics for distributed AI networking at OCP Global Summit 2026. It reported first customer shipments of Silicon One G300 systems, introduced 1.6T-class G302 switching silicon and outlined an open 400G-per-lane optics specification with Nvidia.
1. New networking products
Cisco reported first customer shipments of Silicon One G300 systems and introduced 1.6T-class G302 switching silicon for top-of-rack deployments. It also highlighted production hyperscale deployments of P200-based 51.2T routing systems, including use cases at Microsoft and Alibaba Cloud.
2. Optics and management
Cisco and Nvidia partnered on plans for an open USFP optics specification for 400G-per-lane modules. Cisco also unveiled an 8001 out-of-band management system using Silicon One A100, with SONiC support for large AI infrastructure operations.
