Citizens Financial reports CET1 capital ratio of 10.5% in Q3 2026
CFG•Citizens Financial Group reported a 10.5% common equity Tier 1 capital ratio and a 13.7% total capital ratio as of September 30, 2026, above requirements of 9% and 12.5%, respectively.
1. Capital ratios
Citizens Financial Group published its third-quarter 2026 Pillar 3 report, showing a common equity Tier 1 capital ratio of 10.5%, above the 9% requirement including its stress capital buffer. Its total capital ratio was 13.7%, compared with a 12.5% requirement.
2. Stress capital buffer
The 4.5% stress capital buffer imposed no payout restrictions on capital distributions or certain discretionary bonus payments.
