CLVT•Clarivate lands multi-year modernization deal
Clarivate won a multi-year contract from France’s Bibliographic Agency for Higher Education to modernize the national academic library system.
The cloud platform will replace legacy systems for the national union catalog Sudoc, which holds over 15 million records across a 3,000-library network.
The rollout combines library services, interlibrary resource sharing, AI-driven discovery, with a planned shift toward linked-data standards.
The deal extends existing deployments of Alma and Primo across more than 70 academic institutions in France.
