Clean Energy Fuels sells $30.7 million in federal tax credits from RNG portfolio

Clean Energy Fuels completed a $30.7 million sale of federal tax credits generated by seven renewable natural gas facilities, including a $26 million investment tax credit tied to its South Fork Dairy facility in Texas.

1. Credit sale details

The sale also monetized 2025 Section 45Z clean fuel production credits from Clean Energy Fuels’ dairy RNG portfolio, including joint ventures. The seven facilities produced 2.7 million gallons of negative carbon-intensity RNG in 2025 for transportation fleets.
