CME Group June ADV Hits Record 30.6M Contracts, Q2 Volumes at 29.8M
CME•CME Group’s June average daily volume hit a record 30.6 million contracts, up 19% year-over-year, while Q2 volumes reached a second-highest 29.8 million contracts. Equity index volumes jumped 54% to 10.1 million contracts and crypto futures rose 76% to 334,000 contracts in June.

CME Group reported its June ADV at a record 30.6 million contracts, marking a 19% rise year-over-year, and its second-highest quarterly ADV of 29.8 million contracts. This sustained growth reflects elevated trading activity across the derivatives marketplace.

Equity index ADV jumped 54% to 10.1 million contracts, while cryptocurrency futures ADV surged 76% to 334,000 contracts in June. Interest rate products also saw notable growth, with U.S. Treasury futures and options ADV up 19% to 7.2 million contracts.
3. Broader Market Impact
Across agricultural products, ADV increased 8% to a record 2.3 million contracts, and metals volumes rose 12% to 967,000 contracts. The volume uptick across diverse asset classes is poised to boost transaction fee revenues and reinforce CME Group’s market-leading position.
