3. Equity Derivatives Demand Growth

Demand for equity derivatives reached new highs in 2025, with futures and options achieving an average daily volume of 7.4 million contracts. Specifically, single-stock futures and options volume climbed 15% year-over-year to 6 million daily futures contracts, and open interest expanded 19% to a record 5.6 million contracts, underscoring robust institutional and retail uptake.
