Record Latin American FX activity in H1 2026

CME Group posted record H1 2026 activity in Mexican peso and Brazilian real futures and options, with combined average daily volume (ADV) reaching USD 2.94 billion.

Mexican peso futures ADV hit USD 2.2 billion, up 38% year-on-year; open interest expanded to more than USD 6.2 billion.
Brazilian real futures ADV reached USD 740 million, up 18% year-on-year; open interest surpassed USD 2.6 billion.
