CMS Energy names Sri Maddipati CFO and Chris Fultz electric supply president effective June 3
CMS•CMS Energy appointed Sri Maddipati as executive vice president and CFO effective June 3, entrusting him with investor relations, treasury, tax, accounting and financial planning with 20 years of finance and operational leadership. Concurrently, Chris Fultz becomes senior vice president and president of electric supply, overseeing planning, operations and generation.
1. CFO Appointment
Effective June 3, CMS Energy promoted Sri Maddipati to executive vice president and chief financial officer, expanding his oversight to investor relations, treasury, tax, accounting and financial planning. This move reflects the company’s focus on strengthening its financial leadership with an executive who has held multiple senior roles since joining in 2014.
2. Electric Supply Leadership
Simultaneously, Chris Fultz was elevated to senior vice president and president of electric supply, where he will lead electric supply planning and strategy, market operations, generating plant operations and engineering, and procurement. Fultz’s new role consolidates responsibility for the utility’s long-term energy supply blueprint under his leadership.
3. Executive Backgrounds
Maddipati brings nearly two decades of experience in finance, treasury, banking, capital markets and investor relations, having served as Consumers Energy’s senior vice president of electric supply since 2025 and previously as vice president and treasurer. Fultz joined the company in 2014 and advanced through roles in low voltage distribution, natural gas operations, transmission, storage and project management.
4. Hayes Retirement
Rejji Hayes retired as executive vice president and CFO on June 3 after leading the finance organization and contributing to corporate growth. The company acknowledged his impact on co-workers, communities, customers and investors and extended best wishes for his future endeavors.
