- For the six months ended June 30, 2026, net earnings rose to CAD 5.85 billion from CAD 4.92 billion a year earlier.
- Adjusted net earnings from operations climbed to CAD 7.01 billion from CAD 3.93 billion, reflecting stronger core operating results.
- Second-quarter net earnings were CAD 4.5 billion, driven by higher realized SCO pricing and sales volumes in oil sands mining and upgrading.
Pricing and volume gains offset weaker gas
- Management also cited higher realized crude oil and NGLs pricing, and higher sales volumes in North America exploration and production.
- Natural gas was a drag in the quarter, with realized pricing down to CAD 2.05/Mcf from CAD 2.58/Mcf in the prior-year period.
