1. Vector Smart Footprint Expansion
Co-Diagnostics has expanded its Vector Smart division into 21 mosquito abatement districts across the U.S., adding four full laboratory installations in June. This growth coincides with a webinar held during National Mosquito Control Awareness Week to engage prospective district customers.
2. PCR Test Coverage and Benefits
Vector Smart products include multiplex PCR assays for West Nile, eastern and western equine encephalitis, St. Louis encephalitis, Zika, dengue and chikungunya. Decentralized testing enables districts to process mosquito pools in-house, accelerating data collection and operational responses.
3. Strategic Market Implications
By decentralizing PCR in the point-of-need market, Co-Diagnostics positions itself as a leader in vector surveillance, addressing growing public health urgency. Expansion into new states may drive recurring revenues and strengthen the company’s competitive edge in molecular diagnostics.
