Coca-Cola Hosts Diet Coke Parties in Eight Indian Cities After Iran Supply Halt

KOKO

Coca-Cola’s Indian bottlers have organized Diet Coke promotional events in eight cities after concentrate shipments from Iran were suspended due to Middle East shipping disruptions. Management is exploring alternative sources in Europe and Asia to mitigate a potential 1–3% revenue decline in the region.

1. Supply Chain Disruption

Diet Coke concentrate shipments from Iran were suspended following Middle East shipping disruptions, cutting off Coca-Cola’s usual supply route. This has created a shortfall in concentrate deliveries to bottlers across India, necessitating a rapid response to maintain production.

2. Indian Promotional Events

To manage existing inventory and sustain consumer demand, regional bottlers organized Diet Coke tasting parties and sampling events in eight major Indian cities. These promotions aim to clear stock, maintain brand visibility and engage consumers while new supply solutions are sourced.

3. Financial Outlook

Coca-Cola estimates a potential 1–3% revenue decline in India if the supply gap persists through June. Management is negotiating alternative concentrate supply contracts in Europe and Asia to restore production levels and stabilize regional sales.
