Cognizant study finds 80% of employees want more workplace AI access than jobs allow
CTSH•A Cognizant study found 80% of employees want to use AI more than their jobs permit, while researchers estimate a uniform 5% rise in global labor productivity could add about $6 trillion to world GDP.
1. Workplace AI access
The study identified an “Activation Gap” between employees’ interest in AI and employer limits on its use. It also found that 72% to 82% said workplace AI tools did not meet their needs, and that organizational “disposition” was about six times more predictive of AI behavior than rank.
