Coincheck Group names Shumpei Tatebayashi to board, expands director count to 10

Coincheck Group appointed Shumpei Tatebayashi as a non-executive director, expanding its board to 10 members.

1. Board changes

Tatebayashi is deputy head of KDDI’s Open Innovation Promotion Headquarters and previously led its Web3 Promotion Division. Takashi Oyagi resigned as executive director and executive chairperson, effective Sept. 17, 2026; Jean St-Jean took over as executive chairperson alongside his roles as CEO and president. Satoshi Hasuo was named temporary executive director through the 2027 annual general meeting.
