Collins Aerospace Secures Two Five-Year FlightSense™ Extensions; Raytheon Completes NGSRI Ballistic Test

RTXRTX

RTX's Collins Aerospace secured two five-year FlightSense™ renewals: one with All Nippon Airways covering Boeing 737NG/MAX, 767, 777, 787 and Dash 8-400, and another with Singapore Airlines covering 27 Boeing 777s, including five 777F. RTX's Raytheon unit completed a company-funded ballistic test of the Army's Next Generation Short Range Interceptor.

1. RTX’s Collins Aerospace and All Nippon Airways Renew Five-Year FlightSense™ Agreement

Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, has secured a five-year renewal of its FlightSense™ cost-per-flight-hour support agreement with All Nippon Airways (ANA), covering ANA’s Boeing 737NG/MAX, 767, 777, 787 and De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 fleet. In place since 2001, the contract guarantees component availability and fixed-rate service, reducing unplanned downtime and delivering cost predictability. Under this extension, Collins will provide predictive, reliability-based maintenance for environmental, electrical and engine control systems through its Ascentia® prognostics platform. The renewal reinforces a strategic partnership that spans more than two decades and supports ANA’s Nagasaki MRO facility, underpinning operational resilience and safety standards for a carrier operating over 240 aircraft worldwide.

2. Collins Aerospace Extends FlightSense™ Support for Singapore Airlines’ Boeing 777 Fleet

RTX’s Collins Aerospace has signed a five-year extension to its existing FlightSense™ program with Singapore Airlines, expanding coverage to 27 Boeing 777 aircraft, including five additional 777F freighters. The original relationship began in 2008 and this renewal underscores Collins’ ability to deliver lifecycle maintenance solutions that enhance fleet reliability and efficiency. By integrating Ascentia® health monitoring software with logistics, asset management and certified repair services, Collins will help Singapore Airlines manage maintenance costs and optimize dispatch rates for its long-haul operations. The extension further cements Collins Aerospace’s position as a preferred provider to a carrier renowned for stringent performance benchmarks and global network reach.

3. Raytheon Completes Key Ballistic Test for U.S. Army’s Next Generation Short Range Interceptor

Raytheon, another RTX business, successfully executed a company-funded ballistic test of the Next Generation Short Range Interceptor (NGSRI) in Tucson, demonstrating target tracking and man-portable launcher capability. This milestone follows multiple 2025 tests of Highly Loaded Grain solid rocket motors—delivering extended range and burn time over legacy systems—and provides critical data ahead of upcoming flight demonstrations. The interceptor program, backed by substantial Raytheon investment, leverages modular design and automated manufacturing to accelerate development. As the U.S. Army prepares to replace its Stinger® missiles, the NGSRI’s advanced performance and rapid test cycle position RTX to capture significant defense procurement spending in the next decade.
