Comcast Business opens last-mile network to Equinix Fabric via standards-based APIs

Comcast launched an Innovation Lab program to let enterprises order its last-mile connectivity through standards-based APIs inside Equinix Fabric.

• Initial rollout covers last-mile Ethernet to eligible locations, targeting delivery times cut to days from weeks.
• Integration runs through Comcast’s digital orchestration platform using APIs aligned with the Mplify Lifecycle Service Orchestration framework.
• The program is designed to expand into optical wavelengths, cloud connectivity and cybersecurity services as partner platforms are added.
