Compass Therapeutics reports new PD-1 cleavage mechanism for CTX-10726 in preclinical studies
CMPX•Compass Therapeutics said CTX-10726 removed PD-1 receptors from T cells only in the presence of VEGF-A, and that combining it with CTX-471 inhibited tumor growth more than either treatment alone in resistant mouse models.
1. Preclinical findings
Compass Therapeutics will present preclinical findings on CTX-10726 at the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer annual meeting on November 7, 2026. The bispecific antibody removed PD-1 receptors from T cells only when VEGF-A was present. In checkpoint inhibitor-resistant mouse models, combining CTX-10726 with CTX-471 inhibited tumor growth more than either treatment alone. An ongoing Phase 1 dose-escalation trial is enrolling patients with advanced solid tumors whose standard treatments, including checkpoint inhibitors, have failed.
