LODELODE

Comstock Metals has received major front-end precision equipment for its 100,000-ton-per-year solar panel recycling line at its Silver Springs, Nevada facility, with installation, testing, and calibration underway through April 2026. The company remains on schedule to begin continuous operations in Q2 2026 while advancing permit applications for a second Nevada facility.

1. Facility Commissioning Progress

Major front-end components for Comstock Metals’ proprietary precision equipment have arrived at the Silver Springs, Nevada site. Installation, interconnection, calibration and safety compliance checks are in progress now through April to enable continuous operation in the second quarter of 2026.

2. Capacity and Technology Details

The industry-scale line is engineered to process 100,000 tons of end-of-life solar panels per year using advanced CAD-modeled shredding, conditioning and materials separation systems. Each unit operation is being commissioned independently under a ‘unit operation model’ to streamline the overall start-up and validate throughput, accuracy and durability.

3. Second Facility Permit Application

Comstock Metals has submitted its first major operating permit for a second integrated recycling facility in Clark County, Nevada. The company has initiated engagement with local government and industrial neighbors to secure land entitlements and community support.
