ConocoPhillips beats quarterly profit estimates
COP•Second-quarter profit tops estimates
Aug. 6 (Reuters) - ConocoPhillips COP.N beat Wall Street estimates for second-quarter adjusted profit on Thursday, as stronger commodity prices and cost-cutting measures helped offset a decline in its output.
The largest U.S. independent oil and gas producer posted an adjusted profit of $3.24 per share for the quarter ended June 30, compared with analysts' average estimate of $2.88 per share, according to data compiled by LSEG.
