Constellation Energy jumps after Alphabet enters multi-year energy deal
CEG•Constellation Energy shares rose 12.2% after Alphabet agreed to buy 3,590 megawatts of power from the company. The deal includes more than $4.3 billion in new investment by Constellation to expand capacity at several nuclear reactors.
1. Power supply deal
Alphabet signed a 20-year agreement to buy 890 megawatts from several Constellation nuclear plants, along with a long-term supply agreement for an additional 2,700 megawatts. Constellation said the deal includes more than $4.3 billion in new investment to expand capacity at reactors in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions. If gains hold, Constellation shares are on track for their steepest one-day rise since April 2025.
