Constellation rises on 20-year Amazon nuclear power deal
CEG•Constellation Energy and Amazon announced a 20-year power-purchase agreement expected to spur more than $3 billion in infrastructure investment and add 190 megawatts of emission-free capacity between 2030 and 2032.
1. Power purchase agreement
The agreement supports expansion of Constellation’s Calvert Cliffs nuclear plant in Maryland. Amazon’s long-term commitment is expected to support Constellation’s efforts to renew the plant’s operating license for 20 years.
