Nearly 71% of affected customers regained power within 24 hours and 89% within 48 hours, compared with more than 39% and nearly 58%, respectively, across two storms in 2023.
The July 2026 storm knocked out power to 17,023 Southeast Michigan customers. More than 49% of affected customers had power restored within 24 hours and more than 82% within 48 hours.
