Copper rebounds as Chinese buyers return
Sept 15 (Reuters) - Copper recovered from a three-week low on Tuesday, as lower prices drew physical buyers back in top consumer China, while rising London Metal Exchange inventories and a cash discount pointed to easing near-term supply tightness.
The benchmark three-month copper on the LME CMCU3 rose 0.55% to $14,078 a metric ton by 0330 GMT, after sinking to $14,018.50 on Monday.
The most-traded copper contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange SCFcv1 fell 0.80% to 107,320 yuan ($15,996.42) a ton, but recovered from an overnight low of 106,650 yuan, its lowest in more than three weeks.
