CoreWeave Signs Co-location Deal for Two Renewable-Powered Swedish AI Campuses
CRWV•CoreWeave has signed a co-location deal with Conapto for two renewable-powered Swedish data center campuses, with initial capacity online at Stockholm 4 South running NVIDIA Blackwell and Vera Rubin platforms. This extends its European expansion after committing $3.5 billion to open eight regional sites, boosting AI compute capacity above 1 GW.
1. Deal Details
CoreWeave has signed a co-location agreement with Stockholm-based Conapto covering two data center campuses in Sweden, with initial capacity already online at the Stockholm 4 South facility. The partnership secures local infrastructure to serve AI labs, enterprises and developers transitioning workloads into production across Europe.
2. Technology Deployment
Both campuses are equipped with NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and Vera Rubin platforms interconnected via NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand. This setup delivers high-speed, current-generation accelerated compute tailored for large-scale AI training and inference tasks.
3. Strategic Expansion
The Sweden agreement advances CoreWeave’s European roadmap first announced in June 2024, which includes a $2.2 billion commitment for continental sites plus a $1.3 billion UK investment, totaling $3.5 billion. As of March 31, 2026, CoreWeave operates 49 data centers globally with over 1 GW of active power and 3.5 GW contracted.
4. Sustainability Profile
Both Stockholm campuses run on 100% renewable energy and feature heat-recovery systems that feed into Stockholm’s district heating network. This energy strategy addresses concerns over AI compute power consumption by leveraging local green power and waste-heat reuse.
