Corteva, Inari settle seed deposit lawsuit, terms confidential
CTVA•Corteva reached a confidential settlement with Inari to end a seed-depository access lawsuit filed in September 2023. Inari agreed to destroy accessed Corteva material, assign related intellectual property to Corteva and negotiate certain licensing arrangements.
1. Settlement terms
Corteva and Inari settled a lawsuit over access to seed depositories that was filed in September 2023. Inari agreed to destroy Corteva material it accessed from the depositories, including material developed from those deposits, and assign to Corteva intellectual property tied to its edited versions of Corteva events.
2. Licensing talks
The companies agreed to negotiate certain licensing arrangements. Other settlement terms remain confidential. The case was pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
