Membership rollovers have flat-lined at roughly 60 million U.S. households over the past three years, pressuring comparable sales and renewal revenue. Management projects the new tier could add up to 500,000 net members and lift renewal rates by 1.5 percentage points this fiscal year.

At full rollout, each additional member is expected to contribute around $15 in annual profit after accounting for lower per-member revenue, translating to an incremental $7.5 million in operating profit. Analysts estimate a nationwide roll-out next year could boost membership fee income by 3%.
