Costco to Open Pensacola Warehouse June 25; Cuts Kirkland Prices in Q3
COST•Costco will open its Pensacola warehouse on June 25 at 225 E. Nine Mile Road, marking one of four new Florida locations as part of its plan to add 26 stores in fiscal 2026. The chain cut Kirkland Signature prices in Q3, including crispy wings from $16.99 to $14.99 and golf balls from $32.99 to $29.99.
1. Pensacola Warehouse Opening
Costco will open its Pensacola, Florida, warehouse on June 25 at 225 E. Nine Mile Road, marking the fourth new location underway in the state.
2. Kirkland Signature Price Cuts in Q3
In the third quarter ended early June, Costco reduced prices on several Kirkland Signature items, cutting crispy wings from $16.99 to $14.99, milk chocolate almonds from $19.99 to $18.99, golf balls from $32.99 to $29.99 and king size sheets from $89.99 to $79.99. CFO Gary Millerchip said the chain aims to lower prices where opportunities arise.
3. Expansion Plans
The company plans to open about 26 new warehouses during fiscal 2026 and at least 30 annually thereafter, targeting 931 existing locations worldwide, including 34 in Florida.
4. Digital Sales, Gas Volumes and Stock Reaction
In the same quarter, digital sales rose 21% and gas volume reached a record, but the stock declined 5% as higher gas prices prompted investor concerns. CEO Ron Vachris noted that ongoing supply disruptions and fuel costs have driven multiple daily gas deliveries to meet demand.
