Coty sees FY27 transition year with EBITDA decline; taps new CFO

Coty expects first-quarter FY27 like-for-like revenue to decline by low- to mid-single-digit percentage. It sees first-quarter FY27 adjusted EPS, excluding equity swap, at $0.11 to $0.13.
The company said it expects more than $300 million in free cash flow in the first half of FY27.
Coty also named Soraya Benchikh as chief financial officer, effective Sept. 1, as it implements a new operating structure.
Margin pressure from volumes, charges and tariffs
Coty cited lower cost absorption from reduced volumes, higher excess and obsolescence charges, and tariffs as drivers of gross margin decline.
The company said it continued to benefit from cost control and sales growth despite the Middle East conflict headwinds.
Sales growth in prestige products offset weaker skincare
Coty said higher Prestige cosmetics and fragrance sales helped drive quarterly revenue growth, partly offset by lower skincare sales.
The company also said sales faced an estimated 1% headwind from the conflict in the Middle East.
