In 2025, the company consumed nearly 2 million gallons of renewable diesel and expanded its B100 biodiesel pilot with Optimus Technologies. More than half its fleet now features electric auxiliary power units, which eliminated 23,040 metric tons of CO2 and saved 2.26 million gallons of fuel.

The long-standing collaboration with TRANSTEX improved trailer aerodynamics to reduce 204,000 metric tons of CO2 since 2010, generating $67.9 million in cumulative cost savings. Covenant also deployed EPA BIN V-certified EEAS-2330T trailer skirts and cut 175,845 empty trailer miles through strategic network optimization.

Covenant aims to boost fleet fuel economy by 20% by 2030, cut idle time by 35%, and achieve carbon neutrality for 60% of its assets by 2045.
