CPP Investments, ReNew founder Sumant Sinha lift buyout offer for ReNew to USD 7.02 per share

The price is a 12.5% premium to the USD 6.24 close on May 28, 2026, and the deal is targeted to complete in Q1 2027.
Eligible shareholders can elect to roll over their entire stake instead of taking cash, subject to limits including a 9% cap for U.S. holders.
JERA Nex and Platinum Cactus, holding about 51.1% of voting power, committed to support the deal and elect the rollover.
Buyout offer raised to USD 7.02 per share
CPP Investments and ReNew founder Sumant Sinha agreed to buy the remaining shares of Renew Energy Global for USD 7.02 each.
The offer values the equity at about USD 2.8 billion fully diluted, implying an enterprise value of about USD 10.2 billion.
