- Deno succeeds Julie Masino as the top head, who will remain with the company in an advisory capacity until October 9 to support a smooth transition
Deno's background and recent company context
Before joining the company, Deno served as the CEO of Bloomin' Brands and spent 15 years in senior-level operations and financial positions at Yum Brands.
Earlier this month, CBRL said it expects to achieve or exceed the high end of its revenue forecast and its adjusted EBITDA outlook for FY 2026.
Last year, CBRL faced pressure from activist investor Biglari Capital after it launched a proxy battle urging shareholders to withhold reelection of Masino as CEO, following a turbulent year that included backlash over the company's logo redesign.
As of last close, the stock has risen about 111% year to date.
