CRDO•Credo and AMD built an emulation platform for OmniConnect Weaver memory disaggregation on AMD Versal AI Edge Series Gen 2, targeting terabytes-class LPDDR capacity and higher bandwidth. They plan to demonstrate it at the 2026 OCP Global Summit.
1. Emulation platform developed
Credo partnered with AMD to build a working emulation platform for OmniConnect Weaver memory disaggregation on AMD Versal AI Edge Series Gen 2. The collaboration targets AI inference bottlenecks by enabling terabytes-class LPDDR memory capacity and higher bandwidth for programmable-logic accelerators.
2. Design and demonstration
The design uses VSR links on standard organic packaging, avoiding a silicon interposer. Expanded memory remains transparent above the controller, allowing application software to run unmodified. The companies plan to demonstrate the platform at the 2026 OCP Global Summit in San Jose on an AMD Versal AI Edge Series Gen 2 evaluation board.
