Critical Metals Corp has acquired the Ocean Endeavour, an ice-strengthened vessel built in 1982, for €7.5 million. The ship can house 180 passengers and support up to 300 workers, offering turn-key accommodation and transport solutions tailored to Greenland’s Arctic conditions.
The Ocean Endeavour will be moored adjacent to the Tanbreez critical minerals project to provide self-contained workforce housing and reliable regional transportation. This integration aims to streamline logistics, enhance workforce safety and minimize strain on local hotel and tourism infrastructure.
Deployment of the vessel requires approval from the Government of Greenland and coordination of maritime logistics. Critical Metals Corp plans to leverage the ship’s proven track record in polar environments to maintain year-round operations at its Greenland site.
Critical Metals Corp is engaging Greenlandic suppliers for provisioning, waste management and transport services. The initiative is part of a broader commitment to environmental stewardship and community-oriented development in the Qaqortoq region.
