Crypto-linked shares weaken as bitcoin slides to two-week low
IBIT•Crypto-linked shares fell premarket as bitcoin dropped 1.8% to $81,926.80, its nearly two-week low, and ether declined 2.2% to $2,515.26. Bitcoin was on track for a fourth straight session of losses.
1. Crypto shares fall
Coinbase fell 2.2%, while crypto miners Riot Platforms, MARA Holdings and Bit Digital lost between 4.5% and 5.5%. Robinhood declined 3.6%, Strategy slipped 2.8%, and the iShares Bitcoin Trust and ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF each fell around 1.6%. American Bitcoin eased 2.3% and its majority owner, Hut 8, fell 4.3%; ether-linked Bitmine Immersion Technologies and Sharplink Gaming lost 3% and 3.7%, respectively. Bitcoin was down 6.3% year to date and ether about 15.4%.
